Barbara Lundgren
Founder & Executive Director
Barbara has more than twenty-five years of event planning experience, from school events to private estate parties; tours and exchange programs; small stage productions; fundraisers and festivals. During her ten years at Morven Estate under John Kluge, she worked with high-end clientele to create impeccable events.
She founded the event and management company in 2000. Becoming a full-time business in 2006, Barb Wired now manages up to 35 weddings and private events annually, including corporate and non-profit events. She also consults with and matches clients to venues under her partner company C-Venue.

Having recently returned to my Virginia roots after several years in Southern California, I'm excited to bring my passion for creating unforgettable weddings to your special day. My journey in the wedding industry began in 2016 when I joined Barb Wired as an intern. Since then, I've had the privilege of working alongside a talented team, gaining extensive experience with weddings in both Virginia and California.
I am dedicated to transforming your dream wedding into a reality. From carefully selecting personalized details to managing all the logistical aspects, I aim to ensure every moment is seamless and truly memorable. Whether you envision an elegant celebration or an intimate gathering, I bring creativity, meticulous organization, and a personal touch to each event I plan.
When not immersed in wedding planning, I enjoy spending time with my family, indulging in delicious Mexican food, being outdoors (especially at the beach!), pilates, and appreciating the beauty of fresh flowers – perhaps with a spicy margarita in hand!
