Post Hill

A spectacular new venue in the Shenandoah Valley is now available to host your rustic outdoor wedding. Thomas Jefferson once called this area of southwestern Virginia the “Garden of Eden,” and you’ll know why when you experience the magnificent river scenery, wildflower meadows, and panoramic mountain views!

Beautiful Gray’s Lodge sits atop Post Hill along the shore of Lake Merriweather. Everything you need for a perfect event is there: a lakeside ceremony site under the trees, an outdoor pavilion seating up to 150 guests, a grand stone fireplace inside the lodge, a full commercial kitchen, and even a built-in barbecue pit.

Your wedding party can even spend the weekend on site, with lodges and cabins for overnight rental. For the adventurous, this is a perfect chance to take your kayak down the nearby Class IV rapids in Goshen Pass. Cycling, hiking, climbing, and renowned trout fishing also beckon.
